Maison de Mimi

Maison de Mimi is a luxury online fragrance store, offering high-end fragrances for home and body. The client sought to improve their website's user experience, making it easier for customers to find their desired fragrances while maintaining the brand's luxurious and exclusive appeal.




Understanding the Problem:

Through user interviews and empathy mapping, we identified pain points related to navigation, fragrance discovery, and personalisation. Our goal was to address these issues and create a seamless, engaging experience for Maison de Mimi's users.






Ideation and Prioritisation:

Using design thinking methodologies, we brainstormed potential solutions to address user pain points. We employed techniques such as crazy 8's and prioritisation matrices to refine our ideas and select the most impactful solutions.



Developing the Solution:

We chose to implement the "Fragrance Family & Similar Scents" feature, which included an interactive banner and hover effects. The feature made it easy for users to explore different fragrance families and discover similar scents, addressing the issues of navigation and fragrance discovery.




User Testing and Iteration:

We conducted usability tests and A/B product tests with users to gather feedback on our solution. Based on the results, we refined the "Fragrance Family & Similar Scents" feature and incorporated additional improvements such as feature promotion and enhanced main navigation.




The Final Product:

The chosen solution, Product B, successfully addressed the user pain points by offering an engaging and visually appealing "Fragrance Family & Similar Scents" feature with improved navigation and accessibility. Users found the interactive banner and hover effects to be an enjoyable addition to the shopping experience.













By using design thinking, we were able to create a tailored solution that addressed user pain points while enhancing the luxury fragrance shopping experience.
