Star Lab

The Star Lab online booking portal, aimed at facilitating mobile planetarium experiences across the UK, faced a significant hurdle. Users encountered difficulties in grasping the educational value, age-appropriateness, and other essential details about these experiences. Our mission was clear: enhance the user experience to enable better-informed decisions and drive increased bookings.

Understanding User Pain Points:

Through extensive user research, we uncovered the core struggles plaguing users. From interviews to empathy mapping and persona development, it became apparent that users wrestled with understanding event educational significance, determining age appropriateness, and accessing sufficient information for decision-making.

Crafting Solutions for Empowerment

Armed with insights from our research, we embarked on an ideation journey. Prioritising solutions based on impact and complexity, we honed in on enhancing the 'Event trailers' feature. By integrating 'Learning Objectives', 'Curriculum Alignment', 'Age Group Suitability', and 'Event Duration' details, we aimed to provide users with comprehensive insights, empowering them to make informed decisions.

The enhanced 'Event trailers' feature not only heightened user satisfaction but also drove a notable increase in bookings.
